- David was born in the industrial North West of England where he developed an interest in traditional cask beers. He became a life member of CAMRA, the Campaign for Real Ale, and published several local news sheets and beer guides. In 1995 he moved to Santa Clara, California and gradually discovered the wines of the surrounding areas. He still enjoys a good beer though.

I do welcome trade samples, provided they are in some way relevent to the areas covered by the blog, namely the counties of San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Cruz, Santa Clara and San Benito.
Relevent means that either the grapes were grown here, the wine was made here or the winery or winemaker has a historical connection to the area.
